RECEIPT POLICY
|
Receipts for donations under $250: The IRS does not require receipts for cash donations under $250, but you should keep donation information on file. Be sure to keep the canceled check, credit card statement, or the email receipt you will receive after you have made your donation as proof of your donation.
Receipts for donations over $250: The IRS requires an additional acknowledgement from the Cancer Research Foundation. This acknowledgement should be sent to the IRS with your tax returns. The Cancer Research Foundation records and track every donation that is made and sends out receipts for donations over $250 within 90 days of donation.
