The Cancer Research Foundation was established for the sole purpose of drawing attention to the need for cancer research and for raising funds for top research facilities across the nation. We consciously support diverse and innovative centers in the expectation that each institute will find a different piece to the puzzle and that, together, will find a cure or cures to the over 200 types of cancer.
Each of our selected research centers have been recognized by their peers for their excellence and is a Comprehensive Cancer Center (conducting programs in all three areas of research: basic research, clinical research, and prevention and control research).
Our recipients for 2008 are the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center,
St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital (Cancer Research) and UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center.
